Meet the man ..Mr Roadie -- Mr Raghu Ram the Father of Roadie

He has hate communities dedicated to him all over Orkut and Facebook. If he gets marriage proposals from girls, he is also gets threats from boys who want to beat him up. Above all, he counts Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela among his idols. Meet Raghu Ram, senior supervising producer and one of the judges on MTV Roadies, and commonly called the ‘Rudest Man on Earth’.
“They call me the rudest man on earth! But I am not really faking the rudeness,” he tells you, at the very beginning of the interview. “I am only reacting exactly as I would in the same situation. I want to break down the façade that most contestants come with and see how they react when their beliefs about themselves are questioned.”
So is he comfortable with being compared to Simon Cowell (vitriolic judge in the reality show American Idol), and being called the ‘rudest man’ in the world? “Well, I have been told that I do talk like him, but I haven’t watched too much of him on television. My rudeness is due to the fact that I have to choose the best people in this journey, and that can only be done when they reveal their true selves.”
Raghu does admit that given the kind of extreme reactions the audition episodes of Roadies 5.0 have met with, there is a concern that there would be less of a response to the episodes, which feature the actual race. “We have had a lot of reactions to our audition series, but to ensure that the race provides the same kind of excitement, we have taken measures.”
For someone who says he is most comfortable being off camera, Raghu says he doesn’t mind the fact that he is getting marriage proposals as well as hate mails at the same time. “I have girls proposing to me and men threatening to kill me at the same time. It doesn’t bother me because for me, its doing my job well that is the most important thing,” he ends.on him this title
